This High Performance cordless reciprocating saw from Black & Decker allows access in tight awkward areas around your home, garden and worksite due to the ultra compact and lightweight design. The 3 positioned pivoting handle provides ultimate comfort during use and the ability to use the saw as a Jigsaw, while the material clamp reduces blade vibration allow for easy one handed use. With the 10.8 Volt 1.3 Ah Lithium Ion Battery and charger, full charge is available within 30 minutes and automatically cuts out to save energy allowing for a more intelligent, efficient and fast charge.

Power and Durability
The high performance 10.8 Volt lithium ion reciprocating saw has more than enough power to complete the hardest of sawing tasks. The 3000 strokes per minute couple to an impressive 16mm stroke length makes light work of cutting tough materials such as wood decking or ferrous metal pipes. The robust aluminium gearbox is designed to withstand the toughest of DIY tasks whist offering the user complete comfort and control.

Ergonomic design
The pivoting 3 position handle means that the saw can be used as a traditional reciprocating saw or jigsaw. The adjustable clamp has the ability to hold material which reduces vibration. This feature also allows one handed use for the user. The ultra compact and lightweight design makes it easy for the saw to fit into tight areas and overhead application.

Lithium Ion Technology
Ready to go to work when you are - the batteries hold their charge for longer whilst not in use (Retains 80% of its charge for up to 18 months). When compared to traditional technologies such as NiCd (Nickel Cadmium), lithium Ion batteries store the same amount of energy but in a smaller lighter battery pack. This means the tools they power benefit from improved ergonomics, increased user comfort and reduced fatigue during prolonged use (All this without compromising performance). Unlike NiCd there is no memory effect. Memory effect causes a gradual reduction of capacity each time the battery is charged. In addition lithium ion batteries have an increased cycle life compared to NiCd.

Main uses and applications
The reciprocating saw is one of the most versatile DIY saws, with the ability to cut through a range of materials. With the correct blade the saw can be used to cut through wood, ferrous and non ferrous metals, plastics and manmade materials such as mdf and chipboard. With plumbing applications that include cutting copper or plastic piping to length to electrical applications such as cutting openings in drywall to house switches and sockets. The saw is useful for cutting wood such as timber decking or flooring, the narrow blades make it a useful tool for cutting curves as well as making straight cuts. The variable speed trigger offers 6 different preset speeds providing the user with maximum control in all these applications.

The HPL10RSK comes equipped with one wood and one metal blade, while the tool free blade change mechanism makes blade changing fast, efficient and convenient for the user. The wood blade allows for a fast cut or smooth finish. Whilst the metal blade can be used for cutting both ferrous and non ferrous materials.
